Roberto Baggio was undoubtedly one of the stars of his generation. One of the most skilful and flamboyant players of the Football Italia era during the 1990's, Baggio starred for his nations top clubs including Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan.
It was Italia 90 when The Divine Ponytail burst onto the scene. Then a fresh faced starlet at Fiorentina, Baggio scored a wonderful solo goal against Czechoslovakia as Italy made it to the World Cup semi finals and earned a big money move to Juventus.
Baggio suffered a number of career lows, including a career threatening cruciate ligament injury and also missed the crucial penalty as Italy lost the 1994 World Cup Final to Brazil.
However, his career will always be remembered for his skill, his goals and his dedication which saw him end a remarkable career with Brescia in 2004.
